There is something so incredibly special about waiting for your baby. Your body is changing, your family is growing, and life is about to look completely different. It can feel like such a big, emotional, beautiful whirlwind and before you know it, your baby is here.
I want to help you slow it all down for a little while.
My maternity sessions are relaxed, natural and full of connection. You don't need to know how to pose or be “good” in front of the camera. I'll gently guide you when needed, but mostly, I want you to be present and enjoy this beautiful moment with the people you love. There will be cuddles, laughter, wandering, playing and all those little in-between moments that make your family yours. And yes, there will be beautiful photographs too. But more than anything, I want you to remember how this season felt.
A maternity session that feels like you
I know having your photograph taken can feel a little daunting, especially when your body is changing and you might not be feeling completely like yourself. That's where I come in. I'll guide you throughout your session so you never have to wonder what to do. You just need to show up, I'll take care of the rest.
When should we have your maternity photos?
I ideally recommend having your maternity session between 32–35 weeks of pregnancy.. This is usually the sweet spot when your beautiful bump is lovely and round, while you're still feeling comfortable enough to enjoy your session.
Every pregnancy is different, so if you're expecting twins, this is your second or third child, have been advised to deliver earlier, or simply feel another time would suit you better, we can absolutely work around that.
If you're not sure when to book, don't worry, I'll help you choose the best time for you.
Your beautiful bump, your way
There is no right or wrong way to photograph your pregnancy. Some mums love showing their beautiful bump and capturing a little bare skin, while others prefer to be fully covered. Whatever feels right for you is exactly what we'll do. My job is to make you feel beautiful, confident and completely yourself.
Let's make a little magic
We can choose a location that feels special to you, whether that's the beach, the river, somewhere surrounded by nature or another beautiful Perth location.
I also have a small but beautiful client wardrobe of dresses available to hire, and I'll help you with everything from choosing your location and outfits to finding the most beautiful light. All you have to do is bring yourself, your beautiful bump and the people you love.
The little things you'll remember
One day, you'll look back at these photographs and remember the way your partner held you, your little one's arms wrapped around your bump, and the feeling of knowing everything was about to change. That's why I love maternity photography. It's not just about documenting a bump. It's about documenting the beginning of your baby's story — and this beautiful version of you before you meet them.
