My newborn photography sessions in Perth are gentle, relaxed and completely baby-led. There's no need to worry if your little one needs feeding, changing or a cuddle. We'll take our time and let your baby lead the way. I love capturing those genuine, heartwarming moments. Your baby snuggled into your chest, tiny fingers wrapped around yours, big brothers and sisters giving kisses, and all those beautiful little interactions that happen naturally. I'll gently guide you when needed, but mostly I want you to relax, enjoy your baby and simply be together. No pressure to be perfect. Just your beautiful new family and a whole lot of love.
When is the best time for newborn photos?
One of the questions I get asked most often is when to book a newborn photography session. The lovely thing about my natural approach is that we can photograph your baby anytime from birth until around three months old. Every stage has its own special kind of magic!
Around four weeks old - This is actually one of my favourite stages! Babies are starting to fill out with those gorgeous little chubby cheeks, and we can often capture a beautiful mixture of sleepy cuddles and awake moments.
Around ten weeks old - Your little one is becoming more alert, expressive and wonderfully curious about the world. It's a beautiful time for open eyes, sweet expressions and genuine moments of connection.
There really is no perfect age. Every baby is different, and we'll capture the beauty of whatever stage they're in.
At-home or outdoor newborn photography in Perth
Every family is different, which is why I offer both relaxed at-home newborn photography and beautiful outdoor newborn sessions in Perth.
At-home newborn photography - There's something so special about photographing your baby in the comfort of your own home. You can relax in familiar surroundings, feed and cuddle your little one whenever needed, and enjoy those beautiful early moments together without having to venture out. I love using soft, natural window light to capture the connection between you and your baby, creating heartfelt photographs filled with warmth and love.
Outdoor newborn photography - If you love nature and beautiful golden light, an outdoor newborn session might be perfect for your family. During the warmer months, we can head to a beautiful Perth location and capture your little one surrounded by nature, soft light and plenty of family cuddles. Whether we're at home or outdoors, my focus is always the same: beautiful, natural photographs that capture your family's genuine love and connection.
